Guidelines for Trampoline Use in Onchan
In recent years, the popularity of trampolines among residents has increased. Onchan District Commissioners welcome their use, provided they don’t cause a nuisance to neighbours and are used safely. Please follow these guidelines to ensure a safe and considerate experience:
What You Can Do:
- Consider Your Neighbors: Position your trampoline thoughtfully. Avoid placing it against your property or the fence adjoining your neighbour’s.
- Ensure Stability: Place the trampoline on level ground and secure it properly to prevent accidents and damage to nearby properties.
- Supervise Children: Always supervise children while they are using the trampoline. Limit use to one person at a time, in accordance with most manufacturers' safety guidelines.
- Winter Storage: As summer ends, consider storing your trampoline securely. Local high winds can lift trampolines, causing significant damage if they’re not properly secured or stored.
Responsibility:
Please be aware that you are liable for any damage caused by your trampoline, whether to your property or neighbouring properties.
