On Saturday 29th July Onchan Flat Green Bowling hosted an open pairs competition to mark the 40th or ruby anniversary of the Onchan Club.
The competition was in the format of open pairs with the winner of Pool A being current President Phil Smith together with the European Director of World Bowls, Garry Collins.
The winners of Pool B were Eric Maddocks (immediate past President) and Clive McGreal (Treasurer & National Coach).
The result in the closely contested final was 9-3 in favour of Eric and Clive who are pictured with Martin MacFarlane (Vice Chairman, Onchan District Commissioners) receiving the Ruby Cup kindly donated by Onchan District Commissioners.
