By-Election - Polling Card Information

The Authority is receiving inquiries regarding poll cards for the upcoming By-Election due to take place on Thursday 14th November 2024 between 8 am and 8 pm at The HUB, School Road, Onchan.

Isle of Man Post Office has confirmed that there has been an issue with their sorting equipment which means that not all poll cards were issued on Friday 8th November 2024 as planned. Hopefully, all poll cards due for issue will be posted and received prior to polling day.

If a voter does not receive a poll card as expected, or a poll card for a different voter is received this may be because the voter's details have not been updated on the Electoral Register. For example, following a house move or change of name after marriage.

A voter can check and change their details on the Register via the following link - https://services.gov.im/electoral-register/ or alternatively, contact the Crown and Elections Team within the Cabinet Office as per the following details - https://www.gov.im/registertovote

A voter can also check their details on the Register by contacting the Deputy Returning Officer, Ross Phillips, or the Presiding Officer, Alyson Crellin on 675564 (option 5) or via admin@onchan.org.im

Please note that if a voter is correctly registered on the Electoral Register they can vote without the need to present a polling card at the polling station.

If a voter has any queries relating to the By-Election please do not hesitate to contact the Commissioner's offices.
